There are just a few days left to enter my contest to win a pair of VIP tickets to an evening with Grammy Award winning artist Patti Austin at the Poggenpohl Boston Kitchen Design Studio on June 19th in support off the Over my Shoulder Foundation.
Patti may be renowned for her beautiful voice, but she is an excellent cook as well! On this special evening, Patti will be entertaining us by cooking up some delicious dishes with Poggenpohl showroom chef, Kurt von Kahle.
The lucky winners of the Leslie Fine Interiors Facebook contest will be my special guests for the event. Because the number of people attending is limited, it will be an intimate and memorable experience. Not to mention, the VIP seats will put us right up front for the exciting cooking demonstration.
Patti Austin has been a passionate supporter of the Over My Shoulder Foundation and has participated as a mentor for young aspiring singers.
According to Ms. Austin, “Our goal is to break down barriers that separate generations of people and cultures. Through mentoring, we all are increasingly interdependent on each other, rather than independent individuals. And, because of people’s interdependency, the foundation hopes to foster respect, diversity, culture, and individuality.”
After witnessing the incredible impact that the foundation can have, I have also become more involved in this wonderful cause to spread awareness of the importance of mentoring both cross-culturally and cross-generationally.
