A Sneak Peek into Celebrity Closets
Posted on Feb 23, 2011Feb23
I’m heading off to LA this weekend to attend the Design Bloggers Conference – and just in time for the Oscars! (No, unfortunately, I won’t be attending the actual Oscars . . . but I’ll be close by!) In honor of my trip to LA and the Oscars on Sunday, today’s blog post allows us all to rub elbows with some famous celebrities and their closets! Most celebrities don’t have “regular” closets like you and me A regular closet simply can not accommodate the fashion indulgences of Hollywood starlets or the fashion industry elite. A celebrity’s closet not only has to be well organized, but it needs to be spacious and quite fabulous. In a celebrity closet, everything is designed to make finding that perfect ensemble easy and efficient. You’ll even find that some celebrities have automated wardrobe systems that will practically do the organizing for them. These grand walk-in closets are really rooms that provide spacious quarters for the celebrity and their personal stylist to coordinate and contemplate the celebrity’s image and/or brand. The essentials in a celebrity closet are abundant storage (shelves, cabinets, drawers), large mirrors, an extensive designer wardrobe and impeccable style. If you have ever wanted a sneak peak into the closets of celebrities, here are a few I’ve found: This fabulous dressing room was designed by Mario Buatta for pop star Mariah Carey. Fashion designer and business executive Ralph Lauren keeps his closet neat, tidy and classic with more traditional style interiors. Hilton heiress Nicky Hilton has two couture-filled walk-in closets in her home located on the Sunset Strip. This perfectly organized wardrobe is in a closet fit for a media queen. Ending this post now – I’ve got to go clean out my closet!!
