Jewel of a Home – The Powder Room

The powder room is one of my favorite rooms in a home to design.  Because the space is generally on the smaller side,  it’s a wonderful opportunity to create something grand!  I like to make the powder room a “jewel” – a special space that has a “wow” factor.  And why not – since your guests are the ones using it the most! Here are a few powder rooms that I recently designed.  Notice the many unique details and materials used to make each room special. ______ This small powder room is big on mosaic tile.  The multicolored glass material is not only on the floor but covers the whole wall behind the custom designed vanity. The other three walls are covered in a soft, textured wallpaper.

______ The centerpiece of this powder room is the stainless steel vessel sink. The walls are covered with a silver-gray textured paper, and the wall mounted faucet adds an attractive element to the space.

______ Again, intricate glass mosaic tile is featured in this powder room and is installed within a floor to ceiling wood frame which was fabricated with the custom vanity. The vessel sink and countertop are made of carrera marble; the sconces with their silk shades are a nice addition to the clean lined space.
